Centerless grinding is an economical way to hold tight tolerances and smooth finishes on round parts and bars in almost any material and hardness. With proper blanks we can hold a 0.0002" total tolerance and a 4 rms finish. We have ground parts and bars in sizes from 0.015" to 7" diameter and on bars up to 25 feet long. Straightening machines are available if needed. With our universal grinders, we grind parts up to 9" diameter or up to 40" long. It is possible to accurately grind square faces and concentric bores in one chucking, or grind parts between centers. A center grinder is available. On our Reishauer thread grinders, we do single-point or multi-rib thread or form grinding in single or multiple start, right or left hand threads with lead angles up to 25 degrees. Threads up to 7.88" diameter and 18.75" long may be ground on workpieces up to 27.5" long. We grind most of our own thread rolling dies.
